Four storey apartment building with underground basement and car stacker. Concrete bored piers & Shot-Crete walls retention system along boundaries.The Building comprises of suspended concrete in situ floors at each level and concrete transfer structure at first floor level. 
Internal load bearing walls core-filled block walls with perimeter precast panels, along each side boundary.

Clyde Rd Berwick Gymnasium 

2500sq/m two storey building comprising of precast panel feature walls and large steel frames supporting modwood cladding. 
Suspended concrete first floor slab supported on metal framework and composite steel beams.
Light weight roof structure comprising of steel purlins supported by long spanning steel beams

Five storey plus 3 storey basement multipurpose building 

2 – Four storey residential towers with post tensioned concrete floors, precast columns and walls & light weight steel roof. It comprises of a ground floor retail supermarket with R.C Lid and R.C Floor. 
Precast load bearing panels & spandrels, precast panel Soffits including structural steel verandahs and awnings. 
Soldier piled, shot-creted and anchored basement retaining wall construction service diversions.

Dandenong

3 Storey plus basement Hotel Complex comprising of R.C & post tensioned concrete floors. The building has precast panel walls & a light weight steel roof.
There is a feature free standing curved precast panel wall to entry, R.C & asphalt basement design and structural steel verandah & canopies. 

  

 

 

BUNNINGS HAWTHORN 

7500 sq/m building with 2 Level’s of underground basement and concrete mezzanine floor.
Bored pier and shot-crete wall retention system to all 4 property boundaries. Suspended concrete slabs and band beams, in situ concrete columns and concrete panel perimeter wall to both side boundaries.
The roof comprises of curved steel portal frame roof structure and light gauge steel purlins with rear canopies and core filled block retaining wall at rear of site.

Woolworths Supermarket

3500 sq/m supermarket with 15 attached 100 sq/m retail tenancies. Supermarket comprised of large trading area with set-downs for cool rooms and preparation areas, self loading docks, suspended concrete mezzanine and staff amenities area. Roof structure comprises of light gauge steel purlin’s on long spanning rafters with columns aligning with racking system within supermarket.
Walls are predominantly precast concrete panels with steel canopies cantilevering from walls in front of retail tenancies.

 

 

 

 

RICKETTS RD ROWVILLE

Factory Development

Comprising of 16x 16 side by side 275sq/m factories with associate 75sq/m light weight mezzanine offices and 2x 500sq/m with associate 280sq/m suspended concrete offices. Buildings were constructed of primarily precast concrete panels with steel frame fascias and floor structure to cantilevered first floor offices over lower level walls.

 

 

  

 

 

MCLAREN STREET - BENDIGO

Office Building

2 Storey & basement State Government “GREEN” building. 
Building comprises of in situ R.C columns, R.C floors to first and second floor.
Light weight steel framing to top floor and R.C Load bearing panels. Building has an intricate storm water design system, incorporating detention and storage. Landscape precast panel retaining walls with steel UC soldiers.
Extensive structural shade/ façade framing. 

 

 

 

PENGUIN BOOKS

Office and Distribution Warehouse

85m x 187m. 15895m2. 13m springing height structural design featured a propped portal frame with spine trusses so as to remove internal columns and lateral rigidity formed via horizontal bracing systems to bracing spines. The concrete floor system was constructed with steel fibre to an extremely flat tolerance to enable computer controlled forklift selection.

 

 

 

SELF STORAGE WAREHOUSE

72m x 83m, 6.5msup>2 springing height feature Canopies. Double level self storage facility with first floor vehicle concourse and two levels of storage broken into 6 fire rated compartments. Site works, pavements, drainage, retaining walls and fire service.

 

 

 

 

CENTRAL CITY STUDIOS

Film & Television Studios

Central City Studios consists of 5 studios constructed specifically for movie production. Constructed in the Docklands on poor founding material, they also had to be acoustically sealed. They consist of steel framing up to 23m high, with precast wall panels & additional acoustic paneling to the internal walls and roof. Allowance was provided for heavy loads to be lifted from the ceiling framing.

  

 

 

BECON CONSTRUCTIONS


Office Building

This state of the art facility highlights the latest forms of construction materials, with creative architecture. The building consists of a portal framed warehouse to the rear and an extensive office complex at the front. The concrete fins at the front were adopted as portal columns to provide stability to the office complex.

Office Building

A three storey commercial building with undercroft/basement car park. Panel retaining walls, feature fin walls, canopies and steel-framed roof. Precast concrete on all floors. Structural lift core. Elevated panels overhanging second floor.

 

 

 

 

MONTCLAIR

Office Building

A three storey commercial building with basement. Eccentric and segmented footings required for boundary conditions. Overhanging canopy and fin walls, structural lift core, steel framed roof, extensive retaining walls and entry structure.

 

 

 

 

BRIGHTON BATHS

Restaurant & Gymnasium Complex

Redevelopment of the 1930's Brighton landmark. Stabilization of retained masonry facade during construction. The building was gutted and re-stabilized with double storey portal frames, with the higher storey cantilevered over the catwalk on the base side.

 

 

 

 

HAMPTON HARBOURSIDE

Redevelopment of Hampton Hotel

Renovation of the original Hampton Hotel site into 44 apartments and 6 - 3 storey town houses. The existing cellars in the hotel building were retained and incorporated into the development. Basement car parking was provided for each apartment. Construction consisted of concrete panel wall systems and post tensioned and conventional re-enforced concrete floors.
